Problem Poster
McCann Erickson Manchester are responsible for this clever poster for Leeds Counselling’s mental health campaign. The poster was created with specially designed software which interpretes a photo as strings or lines. Each string is a line of text, explaining the many and varied issues that one may seek counselling for. The images were created by San Francisco-based ‘Scloopy’ and the original black and white shots were by photographer Steve Deer.

Modern History
I have recently been delving into my family history and family tree. The information I have collated however is in a rather non-digestable format. I stumbled upon My Tree and Me and found these beautiful examples of family trees. Wouldn’t you love to have this on your wall, reminding you of your long and powerful genealogical lineage!

Tugboat Printshop
I just stumbled upon this online printmaking store and apart from loving the name ‘tugboat print shop’, I was enthralled by the work displayed. Paul Roden and Valerie Lueth are the collaboraters behind the scenes who are dedicated to producing quality, hand-made prints at really affordable prices. Here are two of my favourite pieces from the shop. These pieces are by the owners and artists themselves, Paul Roden and Paul and Valerie Collaborations. I am loving the sea theme at the moment too.

First you sow the seed. Then you grow the seed. Then you admire the seed packaging designs by Chloe Dunne.

Cath Kidston
Sorry it has been a while since my last post. I have been sick, working hard for a book publisher and very busy in between.
Here’s some yummy lush wallpapers by Cath Kidston to make up for the hiatus.

Book Worms

I was browsing around a large bookstore on the weekend, and was floored by some of the cover designs. I particularly love the ornate vintage looking book covers but also the new releases and their clever use of embellishments.

Deanne Cheuk
Perth born, New York based designer Deanne Cheuk has got a new website displaying a plentiful array of her work. Warning: The sheer amount of content on this site will make even the biggest workaholics and over-achievers out there feel pretty lazy and unproductive.

Floral Delights
The artist responsible for these beautiful pieces of work is Katie Vernon.
Katie draws inspiration from Design Sponge member Sarah Ryhanen’s flower arrangements. Katie’s prints are currently for sale at etsy and are very reasonably priced.
