Hello Budeez!
JDA, Inc. Retail Ready Design recently won the 2009 Gold Pentawards for these funky earphones for Audiovox.
As you can see, the earphones form the eyes of the faces of several individual characters. It’s such clever and stylish packaging. And the consumer will identify with at least one of the characters.

They are all personified with their own names. This one is called Emo.

First you sow the seed. Then you grow the seed. Then you admire the seed packaging designs by Chloe Dunne.

Hey Bros

How amazing are these? They are actually sticky notes, and not real fruit sliced by a samurai. Kudamemo – are a creation by D-BROS. They can be bought here individually, or you can buy them as a set of six in a fruit crate. It’s so Japanese, I love it.

Keep This Cup
The Keep Cup let’s you enjoy your daily caffeine fix without contributing to the negative impacts disposable products have on our environment. Their website also has a calculator that can determine how much paper and plastic you’ll be saving simply by using the Keep Cup.

Retro
I love these coffee canisters. They remind me of my mum’s sugar and flour containers from when I was a kid. Studio Bomba, a Western Australian based design studio recently finished this award winning project for Rewind Coffee. The canisters are also vertically stackable and perfectly designed for the ultimage coffee storage conditions.

Tooheys Extra Dry Paper Bags
In an effort to be creative and cutting edge, Toohey’s launched the TED696 Project with great success. The project is a collaboration between TED and some of the world’s best street artists to design graphics for the brown bags the longnecks are sold in, using the theme of ‘696’. The competition was then open to the wider public. Reportedly, in the first eight weeks, over 500,000 longneck bottles of TED were sold representing $9 in sales for every $1 invested. The competition was so successful that it is now an on-going project.
The TED696 project was also the winner of the Yellow Pencil in Branding (Printed Materials) Award.

The Dieline Top Ten Package Designs
The Dieline recently posted their latest top ten package designs, as voted on by readers. Here’s two of my favourites from the bunch. Sarah Walsh designed the branding for Mallard Tearooms. I love the eclectic use of patterns to create this homely yet modern look and feel. This vodka packaging design is a concept only but Arthur Schreiber is hoping one day it will be a reality. Now if it was, it would be one bottle I wouldn’t be throwing away.

Tell me why I do love Mondays
Hello Monday are a Denmark based design and web boutique agency. They recently received a Webby Award (the ‘Oscars of the internet’) for their site red-issue.com. However while surfing their website I was distracted by their recent branding work for Drive-by Sandwich, a bicycle driven organic sandwich delivery service in Copenhagen. The whole concept and application is fantastically fun and refreshing.
The actual Hello Monday site is worth checking out as well for it’s original functionality and navigation.
