Problem Poster
McCann Erickson Manchester are responsible for this clever poster for Leeds Counselling’s mental health campaign. The poster was created with specially designed software which interpretes a photo as strings or lines. Each string is a line of text, explaining the many and varied issues that one may seek counselling for. The images were created by San Francisco-based ‘Scloopy’ and the original black and white shots were by photographer Steve Deer.

Modern History
I have recently been delving into my family history and family tree. The information I have collated however is in a rather non-digestable format. I stumbled upon My Tree and Me and found these beautiful examples of family trees. Wouldn’t you love to have this on your wall, reminding you of your long and powerful genealogical lineage!

Hello Budeez!
JDA, Inc. Retail Ready Design recently won the 2009 Gold Pentawards for these funky earphones for Audiovox.
As you can see, the earphones form the eyes of the faces of several individual characters. It’s such clever and stylish packaging. And the consumer will identify with at least one of the characters.

They are all personified with their own names. This one is called Emo.

Deanne Cheuk
Perth born, New York based designer Deanne Cheuk has got a new website displaying a plentiful array of her work. Warning: The sheer amount of content on this site will make even the biggest workaholics and over-achievers out there feel pretty lazy and unproductive.

Tooheys Extra Dry Paper Bags
In an effort to be creative and cutting edge, Toohey’s launched the TED696 Project with great success. The project is a collaboration between TED and some of the world’s best street artists to design graphics for the brown bags the longnecks are sold in, using the theme of ‘696’. The competition was then open to the wider public. Reportedly, in the first eight weeks, over 500,000 longneck bottles of TED were sold representing $9 in sales for every $1 invested. The competition was so successful that it is now an on-going project.
The TED696 project was also the winner of the Yellow Pencil in Branding (Printed Materials) Award.
